Hi I’m kind of in a similar siuoitatn. I’m also finding Symfony is a great tool / framework; I’ve not actually built anything with it yet, but am finding learning it is much easier and faster than ROR.I’ve also got a shared server setup for production. (I develop on a windows box though; am trying to use Cygwin for what I can but have to keep reverting to the XP command line ) I was wondering if you’ve any experience running on a shared server with PHPsuexec. The reason I’ve asked is that Symfony is PHP5, so you’ll need to migrate to a PHP5 server at some point. My host has moved my site to a PHP5 box but they use PHPsuexec for security reasons, I’m trying to work out if its a big deal. some negative comments floating around the web on it but I can’t get a definitive answer, even from the Symfony forums. Seems like its all about sacrificing performance for security and (possibly) some stability.Anyway, hopefully we can learn from each other’s experiences and good luck with the new site!!Mark

her first word. In comparison, my best finred’s son is autistic and didn’t start speaking until he was three. Back then I thought of how nice silence would be or how nice it would be if she would go play by herself like he did. It was a fleeting selfish wish. Of course I don’t wish for my children to go through what he does nor would I want the torment/anguish that my best finred feels daily when she worries about him not fitting in with other children. Unanswered prayers are often the best kind!Ann Landers printed an article Things to be Thankful for and it reminds us to be thankful for the pile of laundry because it means we have clothes to wear, thankful for the dishes in our sink because it means that we had food to eat, etc. I love it and repeat it over and over and over as I scale three flights of stairs to the washer and dryer.Only hind-sight sees 20/20! I’ve learned to let the guilt go and try to embrace the chaos of my young family. I find it far more rewarding and far more fun!Cheers!~Heather

13 września odbyła się kolejna akcja stowarzyszenia Awantura. 14 wolontariuszy wybrało się do lasu mieszczącego się nieopodal terenu po cegielni, aby posprzątać to miejsce. Efektem zbiórki było zebranie 42 worków o pojemności 200 litrów. Udało się uzbierać 20 z plastikiem, 4 ze szkłem, oraz 18 z niesegregowanymi śmieciami. Do tego z lasu zostało wyciągniętych 8 opon od Tira. Pozbierane śmieci, to jednak jedynie wierzchołek góry lodowej. Nielegalne wysypisko, które robią z tego miejsca niektórzy ludzie jest naprawdę bardzo duże. Potrzebne jest jeszcze wiele takich akcji, aby oczyścić ten teren. W imieniu stowarzyszenia Awantura chciałbym podziękować wszystkim którzy pomogli przy tej inicjatywie. Pomocą posłużył po raz kolejny Urząd Miasta, który wydał nam worki oraz mocne rękawice. Dzięki wsparciu Krystyny Samborskiej z referatu ochrony środowiska otrzymaliśmy całe potrzebne wyposażenie, oraz za darmo została zorganizowana wywózka śmieci. Najważniejsi w całej akcji byli jednak zbierający śmieci. Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy pomagali, a szczególnie tym, którzy przyszli, pomimo, że nie należeli do stowarzyszenia.
